A few years ago, the families of deceased Wal-Mart employees filed a class action suit against the store’s “dead peasant” policies, life insurance plans taken out on low-ranking workers without their consent or involvement, thus allowing Wal-Mart to collect money as a result of their deaths (no matter how they died).
